I wish I still had this hair: Nathan Hunter |
Nathan Hunter
Occupation:
Timelord, Self-confessed modern day pirate
About:
Often mistaken for the Artful Dodger, Nathan is the creator, editor and main contributing author here at MGNC. He only has two true loves in his life, writing self-indulgent biographies about himself in the third person and film. From his early viewing days of lying about his age so he could get into anything above a 12 certificate at the cinema, to right in the here and now, and complaining to his local cinema that they aren't offering any Arthouse or Director's Chair movies. There's not much he does that isn't in some way connected to the world of film, be it blogging, watching or just dropping cultural references into conversation wherever possible, Nathan is never far from a movie. He is currently studying a 3 year degree in film and television production, and aspires to become a full time filmmaker and journalist, working alongside his long-term friend and fellow MGNC contributor and counterpart Alex

Name:
Disco Robot: Alex Richards |
Occupation:
Replicant Student ("I've seen attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Newport...")
About:
Alex is the go-to guy for Sci-Fi know how and spot on references to TV shows, be it characters, episodes or quotes. Secondary author at MGNC he shares a similar passion for cinema, TV and literature as his co-writer Nathan. He studies Journalism, Media & Cultural Studies at Cardiff University, and spends the rest of his time consuming as much TV and Film as is humanly possible. A regular frequenter of his local library, he's a very well read member of the team, and is most definitely wise before his time, with strong opinions on food just as much as cinema he's the man responsible for referring to the rising price of the Freddo as the chocolate frog becoming Belle Du Jour, an accurate observation, I'm sure you'll agree.
Favourite Movies:
What a mammoth task! Well, I get the most fun out of the works of David Lynch, Human Traffic, Commando, The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Brazil but there's a heck of a lot more.
